Billy Meier seems to hate one person in ufology more than everyone else. And that is George Adamski, more or less the first person to reach a large audience with his story of meeting extraterrestrials. As mentioned in previous posts Billy Meier wastes no time attacking Adamski in his contact reports and starts naming him in his second publication. The following website had run a translation through Google of a German article made by ex-FIGU member Hans-Georg Lanzendorfer. I patched it up a little to make it more readable. What follows are a few excerpts.

Semjase:
“In the previous weeks various people have undertaken considerable effort in moving the deceiver Adamski still as a hero in the light of the public eye and to hold him up as the actual father of the UFO-contacts. Fundamental were his closest friends as witnesses who stated and swore in an affidavit that they have seen and experienced different things with Adamski. These witnesses however unconsciously fell prey to lies and maintain things that do not correspond with the truth. George Adamski had suggestively influenced his friends and acquaintances to such an extent that they saw and experienced things which did not exist. Only very few human beings were aware that Adamski commanded strong suggestive powers, which is why they feared him and kept silent about it. However that he was a phenomenal suggestor was completely unknown, he naturally protected this secret to favor himself. Through his extraordinarily high suggestive power he influenced his friends and acquaintances and led them to believe the most fantastic things, which they then also solemnly testified as the `truth’. His peers are many and they shun no means, in order to make profit.”
The interesting part of this excerpt is how Meier deals with eyewitnesses of the Adamski case. Although often portrayed as a hoaxer George Adamski actually had eyewitnesses that supported some of his claims. Some even signed an affidavit. How does Meier tackle this conundrum? He claims Adamski had some sort of power of suggestion (hypnosis) over his friends so that they saw things that weren’t there/ This is how Billy Meier tries to debunk Adamski. Completely outrageous. This is something a desperate con artist comes up with. Meier goes even further.
Billy:
You know however that I already occasionally talked of him. Furthermore, I know him personally as he was in the community center of Zurich in May 1959. I had at that time not really gained a good impression of him, although I had an interpreter talk with him because at the time I was not yet mighty with the English language. I saw however firmly that the man was dominatingly and monstrously obstinate and to me appearing to have an unusual great egoism, that however was hidden through a nearly perfectly played friendship and love for the next one. I found that the man possessed an extraordinary ability of persuasion and suggestion and that he always knew how to put himself in the center of attention. Clearly visible was that he had fallen prey to an ideal, to play helpful for the suppressed ones but to favor himself. It also appeared to me that the fighting against injustice by him only was pretention in order to put himself into the focal point. It appeared to me, that in first and last place for him only his own needs were always predominant, and from the big toe up until to the last hair tips. I had at that time the impression that he was only and always for his own benefit, that he guided a monstrous fantasy and power of suggestion in the highest way…..
Of great significance is Meier’s admission that he visited Adamski in 1959. However, the excerpt above is nothing short of character assassination. Even though Meier had another person translating his questions he reaches an enormous negative and slanderous verdict on Adamski. This speaks more about Meier than Adamski. As shown above in other posts Meier is a debunker himself, he discredits others in ufology. Basically everyone that went public. Yet he puts in the extra effort to debunk Adamski. Why? I think the truth can be found in Meier’s plagiarizing;
This seems to be a recurring factor throughout the Meier case. Billy Meier takes an original, copies the original while inserting alterations to his liking. Than he discredits the original while claiming to be the original source himself. It should come as no surprise that Billy Meier spend years in prison. That he escaped from prison and joined the French Foreign Legion only to desert from it. Meier was even expelled from India. All these matters point to Meier being shameless con artist.
