Semjase
(…)
17. The coming journey we will not be able to make with my small beamship, because it is unsuitable for such distances.
18. After completion of your photographic work we will board a large spaceship capable of this.
19. Make sure to have at least thirty hours of time available, because with this ship we will really go very far beyond all constellations known to you and will traverse several billions of light-years.
20. You will thereby be given the opportunity to make a few pictures of star systems and galaxies etc. and also see the original home of the human races from afar.
21. Today, this shows a peculiar picture whose origin lies in a violent destruction of a very big star.
22. The destruction was triggered a long time ago by a barbaric and power-hungry YHWH, who himself died in the destruction.
23. According to his intentions and his projections the destruction developed in exactly the shape he had hoped for, which should serve the life forms of the universe as a memorial of his power.
24. The predetermined shape was a gigantic image of an eye, which glances through the universe as sinister memorial of human madness and greed for power, of which however there are millions in the universe elsewhere, but these are of natural origin.
25. True to its eye-like appearance since its formation the structure is called JHWHMATA, according to its connection to the creator.
26. Translated into your language this name means: <Eye of God> or <God’s eye>.
27. According to your astronomical data and designations you can find the <Eye of God> in the constellation Lyra, and you call it Ring Nebula or M57.
28. These are the matters I have to tell to you today.
29. If you still have a question now, then I’ve still got a little time to give you an answer.

Billy
I feel myself moved into the realm of fantasy, Semjase. But tell me, where can I find the <Eye of God> in the sky?

Semjase
30. For that you need a bigger telescope.

Billy
Too bad. (…)

CR 31 is a very lengthy report, some of which is available online, which describes Meier Great Journey through space. The following excerpt is from Plejadisch-plejarische Kontakberichte Block 1 which describes Meier’s visit to the Ringnebula:

Ptaah:
(…)
155. When you have finished taking your pictures here, we will jump to JHWHMATA.

(My work doesn’t take long, and then we set on a new hyper-leap, where everything takes place the way I am used to. This time I look at the stars again, and now I suddenly notice a gigantic image: Surrounded by countless stars of all sizes, something like a colossal eye stares at me through the blackness of space. It must be very far away, but it’s very easy to see: A gigantic eye that stares through space; this can only be the JHWHMATA, the “Eye of God”.)

Semjase:
209. It’s unmistakable, isn’t it?

Billy:
Yes, and it is gigantic.

Semjase:
210. I have already explained to you the origin and cause of this structure.

Billy:
I know, it’s all written down.

Ptaah:
156. It is for us a symbol of evil lust for power and domination, a symbol of hate, destruction and human madness, that in contrast to other similar and natural formations, is the work of man.

Billy:
I know, Semjase has explained it all to me. Here in this constellation was also the original home of the first Earth human races.

Ptaah:
157. Yes, that was a long time ago.
158. For the Earth human it’s just an image in the Universe, called the Ring Nebula, but for us it is of very great importance.
159. Occupy yourself now with your photographic equipment and have the next five minutes for yourself.
160. We will now experience several additional leaps, and you will have about 20 seconds in between to take pictures.
161. Just remember, however, the order of locations for when you label your pictures later.
162. For this purpose I will tell you the locations in your earthly designations.
163. What you see above from here, you call M57.

(…) Then I have yet another question: I was able to get photographs of the <Eye of God>. You told me at that time that this formation is manmade, a memorial of a megalomaniacal god, so to speak. Is that really correct?

Semjase:
87. Surely, do you doubt my words?

Meier:
Surely not, but I wanted to assure myself once more. But does this formation exist as one of a kind in the Universe?

Semjase:
88. Your question is really very illogical.
89. The <Eye of God> was created by a human being, as I have already explained to you.

90. Such objects can only be created by a human, if the universal power and all natural processes allow such a creation, which in other words means, that corresponding examples of natural origin have to exist.
91. This means that cosmic forces and formations etc. can only be shaped and transformed by any life forms if these values and effects already exist.
92. From this you can conclude that for the <Eye of God> an example of natural origin already had to exist, else the JHWH would not have been able to create it.

Meier:
This I already knew.

Semjase:
93. Of course, you had to know, even though not in astronomical concerns.
94. All the more, your question seems illogical to me and even silly.
95. It has to be clear to you, that since the JHWH was able to create the <Eye of God>, before that natural examples had to be available, of which in this galaxy alone 602 are known in smaller and greater sizes, while in the whole universe there are countless of them.

Meier:
Aha, that is exactly what I wanted to know, not for me, as the question comes from somebody else, namely from this Mr. Arends in Rimsting.

1980-1981 – Analysis of Major Ret. Colman S. VonKeviczky, ICUFON

Col. Colman S. von Keviczky (1909-1998), an internationally prominent ufologist and Hungarian military scientist, founded ICUFON (Intercontinental U.F.O. Galactic Spacecraft Research and Analytic Network) in 1966. He published a report (see pages 114-120 of the book – Ausschnitte aus Zeitungen und Journalen) on the Meier case, which was sent to Wendelle Stevens and Thomas K. Welsch of Genesis III Productions, Ltd. on June 9, 1980. On page 5, in Abstract G he refers to Meier’s “God’s Eye” or “Eye of the God” picture on slide 11 (seen below-right):

September 22, 1980 – William L. Moore’s letter to Lee Elders

Following is an excerpt from pg. 99 of the Kal Korff’s 1981 booklet The Meier Incident: The most infamous hoax in Ufology.

“If Meier (who presumably was more fortunate even than Moses) has really been privileged enough not only to have seen, but actually to have photographed the Eye of God (!) then the implications are staggering! Why, then, is he merely the subject of a slick and well boiled $25-a-shot, privately published with profit in mind book by a couple of virtually unknown writers in a country 5,000 miles away? Why not rather a veritable candidate for sainthood with accolades ranging from the Vatican to the U.N.? Why…? Somehow I suspect you know why.”

March 1981 – The Meier Incident: The most infamous hoax in Ufology

In March 1981 Kal K. Korff, with editorial assistance from William L. Moore, publishes a booklet: The Meier Incident: The most infamous hoax in Ufology. On page 26 of this 124 pages booklet, he comments on the Ring Nebula picture:

Billy:
Also, regarding the Ischwischmata, the God’s Eye, respectively the Ring Nebula, which was created by a crazy and wacky Ischwisch [King of Wisdom], one has insulted me and has even claimed that I stole a photo from the Swiss Astronomical Society and that I maintain that it comes from me. One does not want to take from me that I made the picture in space, when one cruised about with me in that star area. There are also similar structures, namely about 500, in our Milky Way. Also in the constellation Aquarius, such a thing exists, the so-called planetary nebula NGC 7293, which is called the Helix Nebula…

Quetzal:
14. Unfortunately, the Earth people are very much inclined to insult and slander new things, especially when they are not able to understand something and are not able to perceive it.

1988 – Review of Korff’s Report: “The Meier Incident — The Most Infamous Hoax in Ufology”

In 1988 the late James W. Deardorff, research Professor Emeritus (OSU), wrote an unpublished critique of Korff’s 1981 book (see above) titled – Review of Korff’s Report: “The Meier Incident — The Most Infamous Hoax In Ufology”. Deardorff wrote the following on the Ring Nebula picture on page 9:

“If Meier was able to photograph the Ring Nebula, also called “God’s Eye,” from a position in the galaxy far from the solar system, it ought to have a slightly different appearance, since the outwardly spreading ring from the ancient supernova explosion is not perfectly symmetric. Korff reports (p. 26) an astronomer’s opinion that Meier’s photo of it is a distorted picture of the Ring Nebula. That is about the description one would expect if Meier’s photo was indeed taken in the manner claimed, from a different viewing angle in space. (Meier did not claim to photograph it from a different universe according to his contact notes, in contradiction to a statement of Korff.)”

1988 – Message from the Pleiades Vol. 1

Genesis III/Wendelle Stevens publishes Message from the Pleiades Vol. 1 with English translations of the contact notes. On page 338 he mentions that since some of Meier’s pictures of ‘stellar wonders’ were over exposed, out of focus, not reproduceable and contain other distortions, he was forced to collect Earth based observatory pictures to illustrate what he was trying to describe to others. These pictures, according to Stevens, eventually became confused by others as the pictures from the trip.

“The disappointment was crushing, and Meier was forced to resort to collecting other images to illustrate what he was trying to describe to others, including observatory pictures of some of the stellar wonders. Some of these became mounted in the picture albums by his friends, and eventually became confused by others as the pictures from the trip. In fact that was what we were told once by somebody there also, which we knew was not true, because those observatory views are only possible from the point in space occupied by the Earth, and through special hydrogen and other filters not available for small cameras. Eduard Meier has never told us that those pictures were taken on that extended trip.”

1991 – Und sie fliegen doch! (1st German ed.)

The late Guido Moosbrugger, core group member of FIGU, publishes a book – Und sie fliegen doch! – in which on page 172 he responds to the criticism on the Ring Nebula photo written by Col. Colman S. von Keviczky in his analysis and also by Kal Korff in his 1981 booklet. Later this book was published in English in 2001 and 2004 and an extended German version was published in 2012. In all versions Guido’s rebuttal of the criticism regarding the Ring Nebula photo remains practically the same. Below pages are from the 2004 English edition:

ASTF (2004) - pg 34 ASTF (2004) - pg 35 ASTF (2004) - pg 172
Note: The 2nd point in Guido’s rebuttal should actually be referring to photo #66 instead of photo #67. Photo #67 is supposed to show a ‘ball’ in the center of the Ring Nebula but due to poor quality of the image it isn’t visible. For this ‘ball’ appearance, please refer to photo #69 in the 1991 German edition, which is also reproduced on the analysis page, or photo #68 in the 2012 German edition.

1995  – Spaceships of the Pleiades

Karl Korff analyses the Ring Nebula picture on page 261-264 in his book Spaceships of the Pleiades. He concludes Meier’s picture is an out-of-focus copy of an Earth-based astronomy picture of the Ring Nebula:

February 1998 – FIGU Bulletin 14

In FIGU Bulletin 14 Christian Frehner addresses Korff’s and Col. Colman S. von Keviczky’s assertions on Meier’s Ring Nebula picture in an article titled ‘The false allegations and intrigues of Kal K. Korff‘:

Korff’s imagination <gallops> (pages 261-264):
“Billy Meier says that while he was “in outer space for five days” he was fortunate enough to photograph one of God’s eyes. When I mentioned Meier’s claim of having “photographed” God’s eye in my 1981 book, the reaction by Meier’s supporters (especially Wendelle Stevens) was most peculiar. They denied not only that Billy Meier had ever said such a thing, they also ignored the fact that I had received copies of these actual photos from Colman VonKeviczky, who had received them from Hans Jacob.”

The truth:
On his <Great Journey> through the universe Billy Meier has, among others, photographed the Ring Nebula in the constellation Lyra. This Ring Nebula is not of natural origin, but was created by a megalomaniacal extraterrestrial and self-proclaimed <God>, who made a whole solar system explode. This is the reason that this nebula is called JHWHMATA (= Eye of God) by the Plejaren. If Korff really studied the Meier-literature so thoroughly, as in his book he claims so loudmouthed on page 137, he could have read the exact details in the Semjase Contact Reports.

As evidence of the high intelligence and serious determination of certain Billy Meier enemies we don’t want to withhold inclined readers a final sample:
In his book <… and they still fly!> Guido Moosbrugger refers to VonKeviczky’s (Director of ICUFON USA) and Korff’s statements regarding the subject “Eye of God”. He quotes: “Curiously, when asked why he didn’t photograph both of God’s eyes, Meier replied that it wasn’t possible since the other eye was winking at his Pleiadian companion – Semjase.”

2001 – And yet… they fly! (1st English ed.)

An English edition of Guido’s 1991 book ‘Und sie fliegen doch!‘ is published with the title ‘And yet… they fly!, which contains the same photos and response regarding the Ring Nebula on pages 205-206.

2001 – Plejaren Ptaah verifies Meier’s outer space pictures and concludes 42 of them are genuine or only slightly falsified

In FIGU Special Bulletin 20 (original German here) an article was published regarding controversies about Meier’s UFO and outer space photos (especially the Pteranodon photo) and how these were manipulated by third parties (MIB, photographer Schmid etc.). Embedded in this article is an article written by FIGU core group member Hans Georg Lanzendorfer (HGL) about the same topic. Below are some relevant excerpts from this article:

“HGL: After the freshly developed dinosaur pictures were in the hands of “Billy,” these were seen and inspected by Quetzal. During this, dozens of pictures were noted by him, which quite clearly could not have come from the world NEBER and, therefore, had not been taken by “Billy,” about which Quetzal got very angry
(…)
This especially concerned that photograph, on which a pterosaur, with an ejecting fish and a white spot on its belly, was portrayed. With the help of this counterfeit, “Billy” should have one day been made a deceiver and contact swindler. Because of the manipulations, the photos were immediately recovered and destroyed by Quetzal in the middle of the 1970s, and indeed, still before they could be brought into circulation by FIGU or by “Billy.”
(…)
Before the original photos were removed and destroyed by Quetzal, however, the foundation member of FIGU, Guido Moosbrugger, came into the possession of some copies. However, he had to make the promise to the Plejaren and “Billy,” never to make the copies available to the public or to get rid of these in any way because the falsification from a foreign hand was also among the preserved photos. Should he fail to comply with the instruction, the pictures would have to be immediately confiscated and destroyed by the Plejaren, as this also happened with the originals of “Billy.” To this day, Guido Moosbrugger feels bound to his promise and has always kept the pictures under wraps.

In the course of the joint correction work on the Contact Reports by Ptaah, Florena, Enjana, “Billy” and Bernadette Brand, the time for clarifying had also come. In the year 2001, Guido was asked by “Billy” to make some of the photos available for publication in the corrected Pleiadian/Plejaren Contact Report Block. Therefore, since the year 2001, several genuine dinosaur pictures and dinosaur slides from the possession of Guido Moosbrugger are to be found with “Billy” again, but these remain strictly under wraps. For the publication in the Contact Report Block, it was strictly ensured, with the help of Ptaah, that it only concerned “Billy’s” genuine pictures or his pictures that were only slightly falsified by Schmid, whereby the aforesaid falsification, for a logical reason, found no use. For this reason, the photo of the pterosaur that was falsified by a foreign hand is not shown in the new, hardback Pleiadian/Plejaren Contact Reports Block No. 1.
(…)
Ptaah: Of the more than 1,378 pictures from your Great Journey, only a few remain, namely 42, which really came from you, while the majority of the 1,336 pictures consisted of foisted photocopies of some drawings, etc., which Quetzal discovered very quickly at that time, which is why he destroyed all slides and photos.
(…)
Worldwide, none of your dinosaur pictures and space pictures, etc. have been published, other than those that are shown in new Contact Report Block. These, however, are only a few copies of the real 42 shots, to which only very few falsifying and not any major changes were made.

This article implies the pictures published in the Pleiadian/Plejaren Contact Reports are some of the 42 surviving space pictures that were checked very carefully with the help of the Plejaren Ptaah and are genuine or only slightly falsified.

2004 – And still they fly! (2nd English ed.)

2012 – Und sie fliegen doch! (2nd German ed.)

Guido publishes an expanded 2nd German edition after his first German edition 1991 book – Und sie fliegen doch! which again contains the same photos and practically the same response regarding the Ring Nebula photo on pages 344-345.
